The Platinum Single Mattress is an 18cm (7 inch) Medium/Firm mattress that has been specifically designed for use in a top bunk, due to height restrictions - meaning your child can not only sleep comfortably but safely. It has a variety of different features to keep the mattress soft, supportive and breathable - allowing your child to achieve a longer and more refreshing night's sleep. These features include: 

• 13.5g Bonnell Spring Unit: The Low Profile 13.5g Bonnell Spring Unit adds support and firmness to the mattress. Bonnell springs are the most traditional type of springs in an innerspring mattress, made up of hour glass shaped springs that are interconnected with a mesh of metal to make the spring system. It's been made from durable materials and gives a traditional, even support and feel.
• 900gsm Spring Insulator: A mattress spring insulator helps bridge the gap between the spring layer and the softer upholstery "comfort" layers - it helps to prevent the feeling of the springs coming through the top surface of the mattress. It helps provide a consistent surface between the springs and the other fibres above it.
• Rod Edge Support: This provides edge-to-edge support for the mattress, which helps to prevent the edges of your mattress from sagging or sinking, keeping you feeling secure and supported throughout the night.
• Polyester Fillings: The polyester fillings help to add firmness to the mattress, as well as provide sumptuous softness and comfort throughout the night
• Belgian Damask Cover: The Damask coverings create a breathable, soft sleeping surface, allowing air to flow more freely thoughout your mattress to keep it feeling fresher for longer
