The President 2000 Mattress starts off with an impressive base of 2000 individually encased pocket springs, designed to reduce the side to side movement of the springs for premium support. Surrounding this is the encasement foam which works with the 2000 pocket springs to offer edge to edge support stopping you and your partner rolling together and disturbing one another. Both of these combined works together to enhance the support and shape of your mattress, prolonging is lifespan. On top of this sits foam fillings, hand tufted to keep the mattress together for much longer. (MADE IN IRELAND)

Some of the qualities of the mattress include:
• Pocket Springs: This mattress contains pocket springs. Pocket springs are individually wrapped springs that move together independently of each other, yielding to where pressure is most exerted and isolating movement, which differs from traditional open coil mattresses. Pocket springs are particularly great for providing pressure point relief as you sleep, dispelling any discomfort throughout the night and allowing for a deeper and more restful sleep. Additionally, they provide excellent support – ideal for those who require extra spinal support during the night.
• Foam Fillings: Foam Fillings are common in many mattresses. Foam provides the firmness a mattress requires, providing the traditional feel. It enhances the comfort of the mattress and provides support. Foam encases spring fillings to prevent any springs from providing discomfort throughout the night. Foam tends to be quite breathable as well, keeping your bed feeling fresher for longer.
• Tencel Fabric: Tencel is a man-made fibre that uses a blend of plant pulp, wood and other synthetic materials to create a quasi-natural man-made fibre. Tencel claims to be one of the most breathable fibres. It aims to produce a silky and breathable layer by mixing polyester, plant pulp, and then creating a man-made fibre from it. It is also more eco-friendly than standard cotton fabric as it uses less water in growing.
• Hand-Tufted: A hand-tufted mattress can provide a firmer feel than a traditional quilted mattress. Tufts are often used to help keep mattress fillings together, helping to keep your mattress shape for longer and are particularly useful in pocket sprung mattresses. Better quality tufts actually have their hard plastic ends very well protected by felt or wool pompoms, meaning that the most people won’t be able to feel their presence.
• Edge Support: Edge support is the amount of resistance a mattress provides around the edges. More edge support means less sagging and falling towards the edge. Edge support provides stable support to sit on the side of the bed, which is important for those with hip or joint pain or have a hard time getting up from a low position. Edge support is most common in mattresses that have coils with side support systems or foam mattresses that have extra foam structure on the sides.

NON-DRAWER DIVAN
This bed comes as a standard divan bed. The base is constructed from solid and sturdy materials for a reliable and durable performance throughout the year, sitting upon chrome gliders to provide easy movement across the floor when required whilst minimizing damage done to the floor. This base DOES NOT come with drawers but a two drawer or four drawer version is available elsewhere on our website. Unfortunately, the matching headboard is not available to purchase but we have a range of other headboards to choose from on our headboard section.
