The Zeus from Apollo is an orthopaedic mattress that offers firm support and has the added comfort of a sumptuous quilted damask cover. It comes with a 12.5 gauge orthopaedic spring unit and rod edge support to ensure long lasting shape and support. The Zeus is a no turn mattress.

Qualities of this mattress include:
• Open Coil: An open coil mattress has a spring support system of hundreds of interconnected springs joined together to make a spring bed. The interconnected springs perform as a single system, rather than each spring operating independently like with pocket springs. They have a more traditional feel than a pocket sprung mattress and can have a firmer feel for those who prefer it. Whilst not as supportive as pocket springs, open coil mattresses provide the same comfort level and are more common within standard mattresses.
• Foam Fillings: Foam Fillings are common in many mattresses. Foam provides the firmness a mattress requires, providing the traditional feel. It enhances the comfort of the mattress and provides support. Foam encases spring fillings to prevent any springs from providing discomfort throughout the night. Foam tends to be quite breathable as well, keeping your bed feeling fresher for longer.
• Damask Fabric: This is a woven fabric that will be on the majority of mattresses. It has become generally termed ‘Belgian damask’, even though many of the damask fabrics described are made outside of Belgium. Damask is soft to the touch, breathable and is flexible for the sleeper, meaning the upholstery fibres underneath can do their job and you get the highest level of comfort.
• Micro-Quilted: Micro-Quilted mattresses provide a sleeping surface with a much smoother and even finish. This is possible because the mattress either doesn’t require tufts or its design allows the tufts to be hidden. Quilted mattresses are no problem for open coil spring systems as the tufts aren’t needed due to the spring system being one complete unit.
• Edge Support: Edge support is the amount of resistance a mattress provides around the edges. More edge support means less sagging and falling towards the edge. Edge support provides stable support to sit on the side of the bed, which is important for those with hip or joint pain or have a hard time getting up from a low position. Edge support is most common in mattresses that have coils with side support systems or foam mattresses that have extra foam structure on the sides.

This bed comes as a standard divan bed with NO DRAWERS. The base has been constructed from solid and strong materials and timber for a robust and sturdy structure that adds reliability and durability. The base has been upholstered in a high quality fabric. Headboard and accessories not included in the price. This base comes with NO DRAWERS but a two drawer and a four drawer version can be found on the website. This divan base is delivered in two halves.
