•PostureTech Core Support Spring System: The PostureTech Core Support spring system has been exclusively engineered at Sealy to provide support where it is needed the most. As pressure on the spring system increases, the springs get gradually firmer, to provide deep down support and pressure relief, applying the correct level of support for you. Tucked inside the spring unit, Edge Guard works in unison to extend the sleeping area and provide added durability.
•Edge-to-Edge Support: Edge support is the amount of resistance a mattress provides around the edges. More edge support means less sagging and falling towards the edge. Edge support provides stable support to sit on the side of the bed, which is important for those with hip or joint pain or have a hard time getting up from a low position. Edge support is most common in mattresses that have coils with side support systems or foam mattresses that have extra foam structure on the sides.
•Geltex/Gel-infused Layer: Gel is a great option for those who struggle with over-heating during the night. The gel could be in the form of gel beads, gel particles, gel layers, thermal gel, or phase-changing gel (a type of gel that changes from solid to liquid when it detects body heat) – so that the user can stay cool at night. It helps to regulate temperature and provide a cooler and more pleasant sleeping space. Similar to memory foam and latex foam, gel mattresses also spring back to shape quickly after weight and pressure are removed.
•Quilted Top: Quilted mattresses provide a sleeping surface with a much smoother and even finish. This is possible because the mattress either doesn’t require tufts or its design allows the tufts to be hidden. Quilted mattresses are no problem for open coil spring systems as the tufts aren’t needed due to the spring system being one complete unit.
•Pillow Top: A pillow top is an extra layer of fillings over the initial mattress surface. They can contain any of the additional fillings found in a standard mattress. They provide extra comfort and helps to distribute and support your weight evenly. It does not retain heat, a particularly great advantage for those who struggle with feeling too hot during the night. They are an inexpensive way to achieve the luxury mattress look and feel.

This bed comes as a storage divan bed. The base is constructed from solid and sturdy materials for a reliable and durable performance throughout the year, sitting upon chrome gliders to provide easy movement across the floor when required whilst minimizing damage done to the floor. It includes a StayTight™ lid fabric, designed to keep the mattress firmly in place and this bed base can be used with both strutted and full height headboards. It is available in nine different fabric colours of varying fabrics (please consult images above and contact us for a sample). This base comes with two drawers for extra storage, positioned two on one side of the single size and one on each side at the bottom of any other size. A non drawer or four drawer version is available elsewhere on our website. Please note that the headboard is NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE but you can find the matching headboard in your desired size by clicking here..
