The Sancerre from Silentnight's Essentials Collection is a plush bed offering optimal comfort and support as you sleep. With a Miracoil Spring System the Sancerre mattress targets certain support areas - firmer support around your hips and shoulders, and gentler support around your neck and shoulders, relieving any pressure. The Miracoil system also features no roll together (no partner disturbance) and no roll off - providing a greater sleeping area.

Some of the qualities of this mattress include:
• MiraCoil Spring System: The Miracoil spring has been developed by Silentnight and is solely used in their mattress and bed ranges. Due to their unique shape, the Mirocoil spring can be housed in a standard mattress twice as many times as a normal open coil spring, which means a more responsive and supportive mattress. Also, with such a high spring count, the mattress offers amazing zoned support. More pressure is applied to a particular area of the mattress, which makes it more responsive and targets pressure points on the body and helps with spinal alignment. Additionally, this also means there is no "roll together" effect, significantly reducing motion transfer to allow for a more restful night's sleep.
• Eco Comfort Layer: This mattress also has a 100% sustainable and breathable Eco Comfort layer to offer you a high level of support. The eco-friendly materials helps you to achieve a healthier night's sleep, protecting you from any harmful chemicals in your mattress and creating a breathable layer in your mattress that allows for free air flow throughout.
• Micro-Quilted: Micro-Quilted mattresses provide a sleeping surface with a much smoother and even finish. This is possible because the mattress either doesn’t require tufts or its design allows the tufts to be hidden. Quilted mattresses are no problem for open coil spring systems as the tufts aren’t needed due to the spring system being one complete unit.
• Damask Fabric: This is a woven fabric that will be on the majority of mattresses. It has become generally termed ‘Belgian damask’, even though many of the damask fabrics described are made outside of Belgium. Damask is soft to the touch, breathable and is flexible for the sleeper, meaning the upholstery fibres underneath can do their job and you get the highest level of comfort.
• Edge Support: Edge support is the amount of resistance a mattress provides around the edges. More edge support means less sagging and falling towards the edge. Edge support provides stable support to sit on the side of the bed, which is important for those with hip or joint pain or have a hard time getting up from a low position. Edge support is most common in mattresses that have coils with side support systems or foam mattresses that have extra foam structure on the sides.

The base is constructed from solid and sturdy materials for a reliable and durable performance throughout the year, sitting upon chrome gliders to provide easy movement across the floor when required whilst minimizing damage done to the floor. It's available in a choice of nine stunning colours, which you can choose using the options above. This base DOES NOT come with drawers but a two drawer or four drawer version is available elsewhere on our website. This price DOES NOT INCLUDE A HEADBOARD, but you can find a large range of other Silentnight headboards in our Headboard Section., including the headboard pictured above. If you want the headboard fabric to match the divan base fabric, you can do so when adding the headboard to your cart. Please ensure you have selected the correct colour before purchase.
