The Midas from Apollo is a luxurious mattress that has been designed to offer you outstanding comfort and support for a great night's sleep. It has a medium firmness, which is ideal for those who require a little extra orthopaedic support without having to compromise on comfort, combining a firm 13.5 gauge open coil system with luxurious fillings and memory foam that's been bonded to reflex foam. This mattress is temperature sensitive, helping you to feel cooler throughout warmer nights. Handcrafted in the UK, it displays incredible craftsmanship that provides high quality comfort and support.

Qualities of this mattress include:
• Open Coil: An open coil mattress has a spring support system of hundreds of interconnected springs joined together to make a spring bed. The interconnected springs perform as a single system, rather than each spring operating independently like with pocket springs. They have a more traditional feel than a pocket sprung mattress and can have a firmer feel for those who prefer it. Whilst not as supportive as pocket springs, open coil mattresses provide the same comfort level and are more common within standard mattresses.
• Memory Foam: Memory Foam is a type of foam that springs back to its original shape – even after long periods of use. Memory foam moulds to the natural counters of your body and provides excellent zonal support and pressure point relief. It can help with blood circulation throughout the night, allowing you to achieve a deeper and more restful sleep.
• Reflex Foam: Reflex Foam mattresses are of high density and tend to offer medium firmness levels. Unlike other foam mattresses, reflex foam features air bubbles, as opposed to holes, to best maintain the shape of the mattress and offer improved body support. It is ideal for those who prefer a firmer feel of mattress and for spinal alignment assistance.
• Hypo-Allergenic: Hypo-Allergenic mattresses tend to be filled with natural fillings, which help to fight against dust-mites, allergens and more. They can help dispel any allergy flare-ups throughout the night and tend to be mostly chemical free. Additionally, they can provide a more breathable sleeping surface, helping to keep your mattress feeling fresher for longer. (NB: not all hypo-allergenic mattresses are chemical free).
• Soft Touch Fabric: The fabric that wraps around the mattress can be just as important as the fillings. This mattress has been wrapped in luxuriously soft fabric that enhances the comfort of the mattress. Fabric around mattresses tends to be breathable and helps to keep your mattress feeling fresh and provides a more comfortable sleeping space during the night. It’s also incredibly hard-wearing and can provide that “new” look for longer.
• Micro-Quilted: Micro-Quilted mattresses provide a sleeping surface with a much smoother and even finish. This is possible because the mattress either doesn’t require tufts or its design allows the tufts to be hidden. Quilted mattresses are no problem for open coil spring systems as the tufts aren’t needed due to the spring system being one complete unit.
• Edge Support: Edge support is the amount of resistance a mattress provides around the edges. More edge support means less sagging and falling towards the edge. Edge support provides stable support to sit on the side of the bed, which is important for those with hip or joint pain or have a hard time getting up from a low position. Edge support is most common in mattresses that have coils with side support systems or foam mattresses that have extra foam structure on the sides.

NON-DRAWER DIVAN
This bed comes as a standard divan bed with NO DRAWERS. The base has been constructed from solid and strong materials and timber for a robust and sturdy structure that adds reliability and durability. The base has been upholstered in a high quality fabric of your choice that keeps the base looking fresher for longer and adds a touch of style to the divan. Headboard and accessories not included in the price but may be purchased if you wish. You can find our range of Apollo headboards in our headboard section. This base comes with NO DRAWERS but a two drawer and a four drawer version can be found on the website. This divan base is delivered in two halves.
